Diakonos Classes include all supplies needed to complete a beautiful piece similar to those pictured for each class listed below. Students select actual bead colors and styles that they prefer using a "bead budget" for each class.
Winter is a great time to take a class with a friend. We are happy to design custom classes for any size group on most any day or evening.
GIRL POWER - designed for girls to young women ages 10-18 that want to have a birthday event, or a girl scout event. Participants make a similar piece of jewelry but have ability to customize - basic bracelet or necklaces start at $10 per person, plus $50 for the instructor/leader for a 90-120 minute event. 5 to 14 participants. All tools, materials, and light refreshments provided. Customizable for most any budget. Best time is Saturday mornings, but we can accomodate other times, including evenings.
LADIES NIGHT OUT - designed for women of any age that want to have an event. Participants make a similar piece of jewelry but have ability to customize - basic bracelet, earrings or necklaces start at $20 per person for a 90-120 minute event. 5 to 14 participants. All tools, materials, and light refreshments provided. Customizable for most any budget. Schedule daytime or evenings.

Diakonos-style Basics

Skills taught: Jump ring attachments, simple loops, dangles, leather crimps, leather foldovers and earring assembly. Jewelry Made: Leather Necklace, Chain Charm Bracelet, and earrings. Jewelry Basics Class

March 10th(Saturday) 1:00pm-3:00pm
Instructor: Suanne Collins. If you are new to jewelry making, this is the class for you. You will learn about necessary jewelry making tools and how to use them properly, how to make an eye pin and a wire & bead connector. You’ll leave class with a completed pair of earrings & bracelet. The information you learn will enable you to make so many other types of jewelry as well. Cost is $35 and includes all materials and instruction.

Instructor: Suanne Collins. If you’ve wondered, “how’d they come up with that idea?”, then this is the class for you. You will learn the fundamentals of good jewelry design; color, texture and balance. Then you will put your newly acquired knowledge to work for you in selecting beads, chains or cording to make a necklace. Stringing and crimping will also be covered in the class. Cost is $40 and includes all materials and instruction.

Wrapped Bracelet Class

In this class you will learn how to make, weave, and finish these intricate wrapped double strand leather bracelets . Cost is $35 and includes all materials for 2 bracelets - make one during class - take the second kit home for future fun - students get to select their leather and bead colors and styles.
