Diakonos Design Studio is dedicated to creating beautiful clay beads and jewelry that make a unique faith statement.  Becky Guzman is the founder of Diakonos Designs and each piece of jewelry made at her studio is unique, like people -- no two are exactly alike.  "I love the idea that each of us is like a poem or handmade creation that is especially created by God for His specific purposes on earth."  In the same way, each piece of jewelry is unique and specially created for a specific purpose.

Diakonos Designs derives its name from the Greek word "diakonos," (pronounced 'dee-ak'-on-os') which means "servant of a king."  It embodies the intention to serve others with beautiful jewelry that can inspire the wearer and create opportunities to talk about their faith. 

Diakonos Designs jewelry pieces are created using hand-made earthen clay focal beads combined with copper and brass accent beads, semi-precious stones and leather cording.  We use the highest quality components including Vintaj Brass charms and findings, Hill Tribe Thai Silver and Mykonos leather.

Summer hours are generally 10-6 M-F and 9-5 Sat.  We are closed Sundays.  We can be open earlier or later with a little notice.  Just call.  :)
   
 
Classes can be scheduled during the day or evening hours as well as on weekends.  Call any time to schedule a beadmaking class or party.  We also do a beading basics jewelry class.

BE-DE-FU
The August kit will feature clay beads from Diakonos Designs and a Mexican Fire Agate from Midnight Moon.  The additional beads are  copper, peachy-pinky-orangey, with some darker colors thrown in.  (think sunset)  We'll have a couple of clasps and ear wires.  Add your own beads to create whatever you are inspired to.  And you can use  the leftovers from previous BeDeFu's, too!
