Diakonos Designs
art inspired by faith

187 East Main Street *  Stoughton, WI  *  53589
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.      -- Ephesians 2:10

Diakonos Design Studio is dedicated to creating beautiful clay beads and jewelry that make a unique faith statement.  Becky Guzman is the founder of Diakonos Designs and each piece of jewelry made at her studio is unique, like people -- no two are exactly alike.  "I love the idea that each of us is like a poem or handmade creation that is especially created by God for His specific purposes on earth."  In the same way, each piece of jewelry is unique and specially created for a specific purpose.

We can create the perfect piece for any occassion, including:

  • Anniversary
  • Confirmation
  • Baptism
  • Birthday
  • Friendship
  • Bereavement
  • Christmas
  • Thanksgiving
  • Easter
  • Mother's Day
  • Graduation
  • Father's Day
  • Any Special Celebration!!

Diakonos Designs derives its name from the Greek word "diakonos," (pronounced 'dee-ak'-on-os') which means "servant of a king."  It embodies the intention to serve others with beautiful jewelry that can inspire the wearer and create opportunities to talk about their faith.

Diakonos Designs jewelry pieces are created using hand-made earthen clay focal beads combined with copper and brass accent beads, semi-precious stones and leather cording.  We use the highest quality components including Vintaj Brass charms and findings, Hill Tribe Thai Silver and Mykonos leather.

The gallery is open weekdays from 10-5:30, although I'm almost always in by 8 am after dropping off the kids at school.  We're open Saturdays 10-5 and closed on Sundays.

New Beads and Artist Work!

We just got in a large assortment of beads from Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece.  We also have new large-holed copper and brass.

We've been working on making large-holed clay beads to use on large "charm bracelets" or necklaces.  We've also used them on decorative scarves instead of tying a knot.

We've also been playing with adding art to jewelry.  Kathryn Vaughn has allowed us to use her original art in necklaces.  Her work is so beautiful we find ourselves oohing and aahing before even starting!

Using the same techniques, we've made some fairy pieces inspired by Sherri Ackerman's original paintings.  They are adorable, and great colors for spring!!
